ERIC HENSON
Eric Henson is an American author of supernatural horror and dark fantasy fiction. His work seamlessly weaves together elements of theology, mythology, science, and psychology, creating a rich tapestry of intricate and thought-provoking narratives.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, Eric Henson spent most of his life in New England before eventually settling in the Atlanta, Georgia area. He is a proud member of both the Horror Writers Association and International Thriller Writers.

Henson has dyslexia, a learning disability that affects reading, speaking, and spelling abilities. Despite this challenge, he has persevered, hoping to inspire others facing similar obstacles to never give up on their dreams.
Over the years, Henson has drawn inspiration from a wide range of authors, many of whom had passed away long before he had the chance to discover their work, his literary influences span across different eras and styles, from the chilling horror of Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft to the dark psychological depths of Peter Straub and Ramsey Campbell. He also finds resonance in the haunting tales of Arthur Machen, Robert Bloch, and the Gothic duo Erckmann-Chatrian. Classic authors such as E.F. Benson, Robert Louis Stevenson, and M.R. James have left their indelible mark on his writing, as have the evocative short stories of Ambrose Bierce, Guy de Maupassant, and Nathaniel Hawthorne. Henson’s appreciation for the supernatural is deepened by the atmospheric works of Algernon Blackwood, the imaginative worlds of Ray Bradbury, and the unsettling realism of Richard Matheson. He is also influenced by the literary craftsmanship of Simon Clark, James Joyce, Henry James, and, of course, the master of macabre, Edgar Allan Poe.
"I entered literary life as a meteor, and I shall leave it like a thunderbolt."
– Guy de Maupassant
